On the evening of October 31, the Shenzhou 21 manned spacecraft delivered a hot air oven to China's space station.
According to comprehensive reports from China News Service and Xinhua News Agency, this hot air oven can be used for in-orbit cooking and baking processing of fresh vegetables, nuts, cakes, meats, and other ingredients.
The astronaut crews from Shenzhou 21 and Shenzhou 20, who joined up at China's space station, put the hot air oven to use and, for the first time in space, ate baked chicken wings and baked steak.
The astronauts took the marinated chicken wings out of the packaging, secured them on skewers, and put them into the hot air oven. After heating for 28 minutes, a plate of sizzling, juicy, space-grade Orleans baked chicken wings was finished.
Wang Jie from the Shenzhou 20 crew and Wu Fei from the Shenzhou 21 crew, both from Inner Mongolia, also teamed up to bake a steaming hot plate of black pepper steak.
