(Kuching, Jan 6) To welcome the 2025 Chinese New Year, the "Together to Celebrate the New Year" Chinese New Year Gala Dinner and Women's Group Chinese Costume Pageant, organized by the Kuching Padawan Fuzhou Association and co-organized by the Kuching Siburan Community Friendship Association, will be grandly held on February 15, 2025 (the 18th day of the first lunar month) Saturday, at the Kuching Primary School No. 2 Grand Auditorium.
The event will officially start at 6:30 p.m., with dinner tickets priced at 70 MYR each.
This event will feature 90 tables and aims to promote Chinese culture and strengthen community bonds. In addition to the sumptuous food, the highly anticipated Women's Group Chinese Costume Pageant will be a highlight of the event.
Details of the Pageant Announced: Registration Deadline January 25
The Women's Group Chinese Costume Pageant is now open for registration, limited to 30 participants. The registration fee is 80 MYR, and it is open to Sarawak Chinese women aged 16 to 50, with a registration deadline of January 25, 2025.
The prizes are generous, with total rewards exceeding 5000 MYR, specifically including:
• Champion: 888 MYR + Crown + Sash + Trophy
• Runner-up: 688 MYR + Crown + Sash + Trophy
• Second Runner-up: 488 MYR + Crown + Sash + Trophy
• Other individual awards like "Best Photogenic" and "Best Costume" will also receive cash prizes and trophies.
Participants will showcase their personal charm through the theme of Chinese costumes, with judging based on overall appearance, stage performance, confident runway walk, and eloquence, among other aspects.
