Unitree 'Superman' Robot Unveiled: Jumps Up to 2 Meters, Top Speed 45 km/h

On August 17, Unitree Robotics unveiled a brand new humanoid robot, "Superman." According to official information, the robot has a leg length of 0.85 meters and can achieve a maximum vertical jump of approximately 2 meters in place, surpassing the human standing high jump record of around 1.8 meters. Its maximum running speed reaches 12.66 meters per second.

According to Unitree's official video channel, it took just over three months from the project launch to the debut of "Superman." Currently, the product is still in a phase of rapid iteration, with significant room for improvement in aspects such as motion control and stability in the coming months.

The launch of "Superman" further expands Unitree’s portfolio of humanoid robots. To date, Unitree has released six related products, including the H series H1 and H2, the G series G1, the R series R1 and its entry-level version R1-Air, as well as the world’s first mass-produced manned transforming mech, GD01. The newly introduced “Superman” represents the company’s latest exploration in high-dynamic actions such as high-speed running and extreme jumping.

While pushing the boundaries of athletic performance, Unitree is also working to continuously lower the price barrier of humanoid robots. In May 2024, Unitree launched the G1 with a starting price of 99,000 yuan (about 59,600 MYR); the basic version’s public market price has since dropped to about 85,000 yuan (about 51,200 MYR). In November 2025, the company introduced the entry-level R1-Air, starting at just 29,900 yuan (about 18,000 MYR), further bringing humanoid robots into the price range of consumer electronic products.

From G1 and R1-Air to the newly unveiled “Superman,” Unitree’s product roadmap is gradually revealing two parallel paths: one is to expand its user and developer base with low-cost products, thereby reducing the barrier to use for research, education, and secondary development; the other is to showcase new heights of humanoid robot athleticism through technologies such as high-speed running and extreme jumping.

As product iterations accelerate, Unitree has also officially entered the capital market. On August 10, 2026, the company launched its STAR Market IPO subscription, with an issue price of 150.8 yuan (about 90.76 MYR) per share. The debut of the new product a week after the IPO launch has further drawn market attention to Unitree’s technological R&D efficiency, product commercialization capabilities, and future growth potential.
