(Miri, 5th) The President of the Miri Chen Clan Association, Chen Shaohe, said that thirty years ago, a group of passionate and dedicated senior clan members laid the foundation of the association with their zeal and spirit of unity. He encouraged the younger generation of clan members to bravely shoulder responsibility and together write a new glorious chapter for the next thirty years of the Chen Clan Association.
He expressed this in his speech at the “Tracing Roots, Inheriting Legacy” Miri Chen Clan Association 30th Anniversary Celebration Dinner held last night at the Miri Imperial Palace Hotel.
Chen Shaohe pointed out that the Miri Chen Clan Association has weathered thirty years of trials and tribulations, and it is all the result of countless seniors' hard work and dedication. "Back then, resources were limited and the structure was not well established, but with passion, unity, and a selfless spirit, we laid the solid foundation we stand on today."
He said that this celebration is themed “Tracing Roots, Inheriting Legacy”, aiming to remember the thirty years of struggle and to look into the future, continuing the spirit of inheritance and uniting clan kinship. "Every one of us is a witness and beneficiary of this history, and we should pass on this spirit and continue to write new glory."

Chen Shaohe expressed that over the past thirty years, the association has witnessed generation after generation of Chen descendants supporting each other and growing together, as well as the robust development of the Women’s Section and Youth League, and the association’s active contributions in community welfare, educational incentives, and cultural heritage.
“These achievements are not accidental, but the result of unity and mutual assistance among clan members, and the painstaking efforts and strength accumulated bit by bit by everyone.”
He said that the association specially arranged a cake-cutting ceremony to share the joy with clan members and guests, while hoping to use this opportunity to inspire the younger generation to actively participate in association affairs, courageously take up the mission of heritage, and inject new energy into the development of the clan.
