(Miri, 11th) Baram MP Dato Anyi Ngau pointed out that in a nation composed of diverse ethnic groups, it is essential to cherish diversity and view it as a national strength. Activities like these are crucial in fostering stronger connections and mutual respect among various levels of society.

He made this remark in a speech for the Jiwa @ Komuniti MADANI Kemasyarakatan event in the Telang Usan constituency held yesterday morning in Long Lama. Due to his need to attend the "Sejati MADANI" event in Miri, Baram MP Dato Anyi Ngau was unable to attend this activity and delegated DAP National Youth Chief David Yeo Ang Lim to deliver his speech and convey his support and greetings.

This event was held at the Long Lama Kee Tee Primary School hall yesterday morning and was actively participated by local residents. The plan aims to enhance community connections, promote the spirit of unity, and drive multi-ethnic harmony and integration.

While reading Anyi Ngau’s speech, David Yeo Ang Lim mentioned that the MP highly appreciates the initiative taken by the Telang Usan community to organize this meaningful event and expressed his gratitude to the residents of Long Lama and the surrounding rural areas for their enthusiastic participation.

He stated that the MADANI community spirit activity is a key platform for strengthening links between communities, especially in promoting the multi-ethnic unity and understanding among Long Lama, Uma Akeh, and surrounding villages, irrespective of race, religion, culture, or social background, embodying the "Glorious Malaysia" spirit of harmonious coexistence.

He also emphasized that the plan is not just a community activity but also a communication bridge between the government and the people, especially through the Malaysian Information Department to directly convey government policies, initiatives, and current affairs, enabling the public to have a clearer understanding and participate in national development.

“Activities like cooking competitions and creative houses in the event are not only entertaining but also stimulate creativity and social interaction, promoting unity and cooperative spirit among residents.”

He continued, only by building a resilient, united, and prosperous community can the nation more effectively respond to current challenges, fully advancing the spirit of Glorious Malaysia, centered on human values, mutual respect, and true unity.

Dato Anyi Ngau further expressed his thanks to all attendees through the speech and urged continued support and participation in more positive community-led activities to collectively realize a more glorious Malaysia.

Meanwhile, DAP Youth National Chief David Yeo Ang Lim, together with Miri Branch Youth member Mawillis Dean, also visited the Long Lama community leader Penghulu Yap Cheng Siang  during the event. Penghulu Yap Cheng Siang is also the Chairman of the Chinese Primary Schools Boards Association in Miri and has long been concerned with educational development.

The three parties engaged in in-depth exchanges on various educational initiatives and cooperation plans beneficial to the community and looked forward to further enhancing rural education resources and student development opportunities through cross-organizational cooperation. This move demonstrates DAP Youth's firm commitment to promoting grassroots educational development.
