The China Tsunami Warning Center announced on the 30th that waves of 30 centimeters to 1 meter are expected to strike parts of the eastern coast of China.
The Tsunami Warning Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources said: "Based on the latest warnings and analysis, the Tsunami Warning Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources has determined that the earthquake has triggered a tsunami, which is expected to cause disasters in some coastal areas of China."
The Tsunami Warning Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources has issued a yellow tsunami alert. Based on the latest monitoring and analysis results, it is expected to have a disastrous impact on the coasts of Shanghai, southern Zhoushan, east of Taipei, west and east of Pingtung, southeast and northeast of Taitung, Hualien, and Yilan.
According to comprehensive analysis and assessment by the Tsunami Warning Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources, tsunami waves are expected to reach the coast of Taiwan at 1:30 PM, and reach the Zhejiang and Shanghai coasts between around 5 to 7 PM, with maximum wave amplitudes of 60, 40, and 30 centimeters, respectively.
