2025 National Calligraphy Competition Kicks Off - Award Ceremony to Be Held Tomorrow Afternoon at Chung Hwa Middle School Peace Hall

(Bandar Seri Begawan, 22nd) The 2025 Brunei National Calligraphy Competition Award Ceremony will be grandly held tomorrow (23rd) at 2:00 PM at the Peace Hall of Chung Hwa Middle School, Brunei. This event is co-organized by the Brunei Chinese Arts & Cultural Association and Chung Hwa Middle School, aiming to promote the art of Chinese calligraphy and encourage young students and the public to actively participate in the inheritance and creation of traditional culture.

This year’s competition saw enthusiastic participation, with contestants from various ethnic groups nationwide, including students, association members, and calligraphy enthusiasts, fully demonstrating the recognition and appreciation of Chinese art amid the country’s multicultural background. The panel of judges conducted strict evaluations based on brush technique, structure, composition, and artistic expression, ultimately selecting several outstanding winners.

Representatives of the organizing units, educational sector members, and cultural and arts institutions have been invited to witness the moment of glory for the award recipients together at the ceremony. The organizers hope that through this activity, the popularization and development of calligraphy art in Brunei will be further promoted, allowing Chinese culture to bloom with deeper brilliance locally.
