49-year-old Taiwanese star Xiao Shushen and her husband Liang Xuan’an, who is 15 years younger, have been married for 9 years. She has openly admitted multiple times that, due to cancer medication and menopause, there has long been no sexual life between the couple, and she tacitly allows him to mess around outside. Liang Xuan’an has indeed repeatedly gotten into trouble, and now has been sentenced by the Shilin District Court to 4 years and 10 months for forcing a female artist into sex. When approached, Xiao Shushen did not answer the phone, while Liang Xuan’an personally responded: “I have many thoughts, but I need to discuss with my lawyer before responding.”
According to ETtoday, in the early hours of a certain day in 2023, Liang Xuan’an took the victim into a room and sexually assaulted her. During the process, he slapped her and strangled her. After the victim reported him, Liang Xuan’an admitted to having sex with her, but denied forced intercourse, arguing they were in a relationship and the woman acted normally that day, and even went on an outing together the next day. However, a witness stated that they saw obvious bruises on the victim’s neck, but she only said something happened that she didn’t want to happen. Afterwards, she informed him via text that she’d been sexually assaulted by Liang. In addition, the victim later questioned Liang about the details of the assault via text. The panel of judges found that Liang did not directly deny the contents of the messages, and afterwards deleted the chat history, and even sought out staff to serve as witnesses.
Moreover, Liang Xuan’an has more than one case involving sexual offenses. In 2024, he was accused of fraud and sexual misconduct by another woman, and the same year, was also sued by a female singer for sexual offenses. In all this ongoing controversy, Xiao Shushen seems to be turning a blind eye. Last year, before accepting an interview with United Daily News, she issued a statement to distance herself from him, but explained in the interview why they haven’t divorced: “He still loves me and won’t agree to a divorce.” She has no intention of resorting to legal action. #
