Are Esther Huang and Yang Ming-Wei Ending Their 11-Year Marriage? Manager Responds with Hidden Meaning

Taiwanese stars Yang Ming-Wei and Esther Huang often share about their family and parenting life with the public. The family just traveled to Beijing in early February, but on the 18th, a report claimed they had agreed to divorce due to long-term personality differences, and that they had each consulted lawyers. In response, Esther Huang's manager told 'Apple News', “There’s no news about a divorce at the moment, but since this is a personal family matter, we will make no further comment.” The statement did not confirm or deny the rumor, and Yang Ming-Wei’s manager echoed this stance.

Looking back at the beginning of their marriage, the two met in 2015 while working together on the TV drama 'Dear Mom'. They didn't have scenes together but quietly developed feelings and got married after Huang became pregnant. Since then, the couple have had a son and a daughter, and Esther often shares family and parenting moments on social media. At the end of last year, while being interviewed for a drama, Esther still mentioned her husband, sharing cute anecdotes about their relationship and playful bickering. The family’s recent trip to Beijing in early February was actually a birthday gift for her from Yang Ming-Wei, so the sudden divorce rumor was met with surprise.

According to 'Mirror Weekly', the couple has long had irreconcilable personality differences and differing views on parenting. Additionally, Esther reportedly dislikes how much her husband enjoys drinking and socializing. After an argument while Yang was drunk, the two agreed to divorce. Sources say they hope to avoid going to court and will seek a peaceful separation, coordinating property division and childcare arrangements.
