On the morning of the 29th, Cambodian Ministry of Defense spokesperson Meas Sopheak rebutted the Thai military's statement claiming that Cambodia attacked Thailand just a few hours after the ceasefire took effect.
At a press conference, she said: "On behalf of the Cambodian Ministry of Defense, I refute the statement by the Thai military spokesperson regarding combat and ceasefire violations."
She stated that the Cambodian armed forces strictly implemented the ceasefire agreement that took effect from midnight on the 28th.
Earlier, the Thai military pointed out that Thailand immediately ceased fire in the Thai-Cambodian border area as soon as the agreement came into effect, but after the agreement took effect, the Cambodian side still launched attacks on Thai territory at multiple locations.
In addition, as part of the ceasefire agreement, commanders of both Thai and Cambodian frontline forces held a meeting on the border between the two countries on the 29th.
