"Let us continue to support and encourage our students to ensure they have the best opportunities to achieve their dreams."
He also thanked all the entities who contributed to this program and called on all sectors of society to continue to pay attention to and support educational development in Sarawak, creating a better future for students.
Lee Kim Shin stated that the Sarawak Unity Education Fund was officially launched by the Premier of Sarawak earlier this year to specifically assist financially challenged students in Sarawak, alleviating their financial burdens during their studies and aligning with the Sarawak government's talent development vision.

"As Sarawak embarks on emerging fields like the digital and green economy, we urgently need talent with technical expertise in these areas."

Additionally, the Sarawak government plans to provide free university education by 2026 for Sarawak students enrolled in related courses at government-owned universities in Sarawak to ensure more local talent gains higher education opportunities.
"Our goal is to cultivate highly qualified professionals who can meet the needs of the digital and green economy, and higher education is the foundation for achieving this goal."
