(Kuching, 10th) The Ulu Kapit 'Spektra Permata Housing Project' (Rumah Spektra Permata, RSP) showcases the Sarawak government's commitment to providing quality and affordable housing for the local community.
The Kapit constituency state assemblyman, Dato Mohd Chee Kadir, stated that this development project reflects the state government's ongoing efforts to build well-structured and reliable-quality residences for residents, especially the B40 low-income group. He also praised the Housing Development Corporation Sarawak (HDC) for implementing various measures to make it easier for the people to achieve their goal of homeownership.
This project was built under the 'Rural Expansion Plan' and consists of 50 double-storey residential units specially designed for family living. Each unit has a built-up area of about 800 square feet and features three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and parking space.
The project uses the Industrialized Building System (IBS) and achieved an efficiency score of 73%, showcasing modern construction standards.
At the handover ceremony held at the Kapit Police Station Hall on February 6, a total of 34 prospective homeowners received model keys symbolizing their impending new homes.
Also present at the ceremony were HDC Chairman Abdul Yakub Arbi and HDC Chief Executive Officer Fathi Hambali.
