Former member of Korean girl group "AOA" Minah has shockingly been disfigured! She posted an alarming photo on Instagram showing large red patches on her cheeks, lamenting that because she was getting more work invitations and wanted to look pretty for appearances, she underwent a sleeping Ultherapy procedure. “When I woke up, I felt excruciating pain—I couldn’t help but cry. Looking in the mirror, the skin on my face was peeling, curling, and flaking off due to burns, the wounds were oozing tissue fluid, and blisters had formed everywhere.”
She heartbreakingly shared that the moment was utterly hopeless, but the clinic director claimed nothing had gone wrong during the procedure and speculated that a probe defect might have been to blame. When she asked why the probe wasn’t checked beforehand, the director said if the probe had been faulty, the machine wouldn’t have worked at all, leaving her speechless: “So what exactly was the cause then?” She also noted that the clinic did not require her to sign a sedation consent form, a surgical consent form, nor did they conduct a skin assessment beforehand.
She revealed the diagnosis was “deep second-degree burns”—“Ten percent of my body’s burn area is all concentrated on my face! I never knew burns could hurt this much.” Her mother also wept bitterly over her injury. She sadly stated: “Burn treatment, scar treatment...I have no idea when it will end, or if there will be permanent scarring. The thought of missing out on so much work because of this is truly heartbreaking.” She is preparing to sue the cosmetic clinic for compensation.
