Planned Water Supply Interruption in Bintulu on April 23, Affecting Multiple Residential and Commercial Areas

(Bintulu, 21st) Sarawak Water Sdn. Bhd. (formerly known as LAKU Management Sdn. Bhd.) issued a notice today that due to maintenance and engineering work, multiple areas in Bintulu will experience a planned water supply interruption on April 23 (Wednesday) from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

According to the notice, the water supply interruption is for maintenance work on the raw water pump at Nyabau Water Treatment Plant, as well as temporary water pipeline diversion works in conjunction with the construction of the flyover from Jalan Medan to Jalan Tun Hussein Onn in Bintulu.

Affected areas include Jalan Abang Galau, Jalan Masjid, Jalan Keppel, Jalan Pedada, Jalan Main Bazaar, Jalan Kidurong (Market Garden, Taman Saberkas, Kidurong Avenue, Taman Bilangan, KINDA 2, RPR Kidurong Phases 1 to 5, Taman Sri Indah, ABF Housing, MLNG Housing, Taman Millenium, Taman Mawar, Kidurong Height, SMK Kidurong, SK Kidurong 1 and 2, Teachers Quarters, Columbia Asia Hospital), Jalan 

Similajau, Jalan Nyabau (UPM, Bintulu Hospital), Jalan Mutiara, Jalan Permata (including the entire Sg Plan area, SMK Assyakirin, SK Tanjung Batu), and Jalan Sultan Iskandar (Medan Assyakirin, Kampung Assyakirin, BDA Walk-Up Flat, Government Quarters and Barracks, Maritime Quarters, Taman Millenium Flat, Kemena Jaya Commercial Center, Pine Court and surrounding areas, Meridian Sentral, Berjaya Commercial Center, Taman Belimbing, Light Industrial Area, BDA Light Industrial Area, Hock Lee Garden, Taman Suarah, Chin Lee Garden, Bukit Orang, Taman Sibiew Indah, Ozo Garden, NCP Garden, San San Garden, Iris Garden, Gem Park, Taman Millenium, Methodist Kindergarten, SMK Bintulu, SK One, Perbinda, SK Assyakirin, Customs Quarters, Federal Quarters, and Laboratory Quarters, etc.

Sarawak Water reminds that the aforementioned areas may experience a lack of water or low water pressure and urges users to store enough water in advance to meet any sudden needs. In emergencies, the company will also dispatch water tankers to assist those in need.
