Chen Yanxi Endured 7 Years of Cyberbullying from Chen Xiao's Fans; Files for Compulsory Execution Only After Divorce

Published at Apr 23, 2026 05:34 pm
“Chen Yanxi applies for compulsory execution” shot to the top of the trending searches. The reason: a female netizen surnamed Man has continually defamed Chen Yanxi on Weibo from April 2018 to March 2025. Judging from this netizen’s posts, she is a diehard fan of Chen Xiao. Chen Yanxi endured seven years of online abuse and only filed a lawsuit after divorcing Chen Xiao. She won the case in the first trial. The other party appealed to the second trial, but the original judgment was recently upheld. However, the other party has so far failed to issue the court-mandated public apology and compensation. As a result, Chen Yanxi instructed her lawyer to apply for compulsory execution to collect 40,000 yuan (approximately 23,000 MYR) in compensation, which she plans to donate to charity.
Chen Xiao continues to receive many acting offers.
In 2016, Chen Yanxi married Chen Xiao in a shotgun wedding. Over the years, she has often been subjected to sarcasm and ridicule from Chen Xiao's fans. The woman surnamed Man was so audacious that she even tagged Chen Yanxi's account, provoking her by saying: “After so many years in the fan circle, even if I am not a fan anymore, it's still not a problem for me to be a thorn in your side. Does anyone really think that just because I’m not doing well, I’ll let others do well?” She even called for a public opinion campaign: “If Chen Yanxi's reputation is ruined, the divorce won’t negatively impact Chen Xiao too much.”

The two Chens announced their divorce in February last year. Afterwards, Chen Yanxi entrusted her lawyer to defend her reputation and filed a civil lawsuit against Ms. Man. On December 19 of last year, the first verdict ruled that Ms. Man must publish an apology statement at the top position on Weibo and compensate Chen Yanxi for economic losses, mental distress, and reasonable legal expenses totaling 40,000 yuan (about 23,000 MYR). Ms. Man filed an appeal, but the appellate court issued a final judgment: “Appeal dismissed, original judgment upheld.” After the judgment took effect, Ms. Man still has not fulfilled the requirements stipulated in the verdict, prompting Chen Yanxi’s lawyer to apply to the court for compulsory execution.
