After 105 years of unremitting struggle, the CPC has grown from a tiny boat on Nanhu Lake in Jiaxing to become the world’s largest governing party with significant global influence. The CPC led the Chinese people to achieve a great leap from standing up, becoming prosperous, to growing strong, creating the “two miracles” of rapid economic development and long-term social stability, winning heartfelt support from the people, and serving as the strong leadership core of the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Why has China’s economy maintained long-term stable development? The CPC has kept pace with development trends, adhered to seeking truth from facts and upholding fundamental principles while pursuing innovation, and coordinated scientific planning. By governing long-term, the CPC has led the country in scientifically formulating and consecutively implementing 15 Five-Year Plans, providing an important “anchor of stability” for sustained economic development. The CPC has no special interests of its own and insists that current interests are combined with long-term interests, and partial interests with overall interests.
This year marks the start of the “15th Five-Year Plan.” Facing stormy and volatile external environments, China’s economy has demonstrated strong resilience and abundant vitality. In the first quarter, China’s economic growth rate was 5%; in the second quarter, it continued to run smoothly. In the first five months, the total value of goods imports and exports reached 20.68 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15.3%. The wave of new quality productive forces is surging forward—by the end of May, daily token call volume had reached several hundred trillion, leading the world.
Why has China made enormous achievements in social and people’s livelihood affairs?
