Mok Ka-Wai Spotted in the US Looking 'Obviously Fuller' – Netizens: That's Happiness Weight

Jordan Chan recently held a concert in the United States, and was spotted dining out by a netizen who snapped a photo and posted it on social media. Although he appeared to have put on a bit of middle-aged weight, for his age of 58, he still looks great; however, his wife Mok Ka-Wai was also dining at the same restaurant. In contrast to her previously slim figure and strikingly handsome features, Mok Ka-Wai—having let go of her celebrity baggage—now appears much fuller-bodied. You can also tell that her retirement life seems very comfortable, perhaps explaining her contented, fuller frame.

When Mok Ka-Wai visited the restaurant, she wore a black short jumpsuit and sported medium-length hair, walking in successively with a few others. Although you can still recognize her face as Mok Ka-Wai, her features, which once had distinct lines and a certain charisma, have now taken on a rounder look, and her features no longer stand out as before. With her height of 170cm, her fuller figure makes her appear quite statuesque—a sharp contrast to her previously slender frame, now seemingly twice as voluminous.

Although the original poster who saw her dining in person praised her and Jordan Chan for being down-to-earth and approachable, when the photo was shared online, it led to many netizens expressing their surprise. Fortunately, quite a few people also defended her, pointing out that she was born in 1975 and is now 50 years old, and hasn't acted in years (her most recent Hong Kong drama was 2019's 'Flying Tiger: Thunder Strike', although she did return to host a travel program for ViuTV last year). It's impossible for her to maintain the same level of physique management and upkeep as before; plus, people should not have anxiety over body shape or appearance. Maybe she really is just 'happy fat', and female celebrities shouldn't be held to such harsh standards.
