Star Wars Darth Vader's Lightsaber Auctioned for 15 Million

The lightsaber used by Darth Vader in the classic films Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi was sold for a whopping $3,654,000 (approximately 15.43 million ringgit) at an auction in Los Angeles, California, USA, on the 4th.

The auction house Propstore pointed out that this lightsaber was used by David Prowse, who played Darth Vader, and stuntman Bob Anderson. It served as Vader’s primary dueling prop and is regarded as one of the most memorable items in Star Wars.

Propstore stated that the estimated price of Darth Vader’s lightsaber ranged from $1 million to $3 million, with a total of 31 bidders. It was ultimately sold for $3,654,000. Besides the lightsaber, this auction, which continues until the 6th, features a total of 1,000 Hollywood movie costumes and props for sale.
