Trump Walks Out Early During Interview, Calls Host 'Either a Liar or an Idiot'

U.S. President Trump, during an exclusive interview, became upset when the host repeatedly questioned his claims regarding election fraud and the 'Anti-Weaponization Fund', ultimately ending the interview early in anger.

On June 7, NBC's "Meet the Press" aired an exclusive interview with U.S. President Trump. During the interview, Trump appeared dissatisfied with questions from host Welker. He not only angrily lashed out but also removed the microphone from his collar on the spot and then walked out.

During the program, when talking about whether there was fraud in the 2020 U.S. presidential election and Trump’s plan to create an $1.8 billion 'Anti-Weaponization Fund' to compensate individuals who claimed to have been treated unfairly by the government, Trump argued with the show's host. Trump bluntly told the NBC host, "You are either a liar or an idiot," and again stated that NBC and many American media outlets are liars and that their reporting aids the wicked and shows serious bias.

Trump told the host: “People like you, those fake, dirty media, corrupt media, and all those around Biden—they ruin people's lives.”

Soon after, Trump interrupted the interview, telling Welker: “Sorry, let's end it here, because I’ve had enough. Thank you, dear. Hope you have fun.”

In the end, Trump ignored the host's plea and ended the interview early, leaving the set.
