"All confirmed drug users will be investigated under Section 3(1)(a) of the Drug Addicts (Treatment and Rehabilitation) Act 1983. Additionally, two persons have been handed over to the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) for further investigation under Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952," stated the Anti-Drug Agency in a statement posted on its Facebook page.
This joint operation was led by Sarikei Anti-Drug Agency officer Dalin Nani Anak George and included collaboration with the Sarawak Anti-Drug Agency, Sarikei Anti-Drug Agency, and multiple departments and enforcement agencies, including the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM), Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM), People's Volunteer Corps (RELA), as well as community and village heads (KMKK).
