The body of a Myanmar beauty queen was found under the rubble of a 12-floor apartment in downtown Mandalay.
According to The Nation News, the deceased, Silimee, had represented Myanmar in the 2018 'Miss Tourism Myanmar' pageant.

Silimee was one of the victims of the 7.7 magnitude earthquake that struck Mandalay on March 28.
The tremors of this earthquake were felt in neighboring countries, including Thailand, Vietnam, and parts of China.
During the earthquake, Silimee was trapped in the rubble of the Sky Villa apartment, which collapsed in the quake.
According to a post by 'Miss Tourism Myanmar' on Facebook, rescue personnel discovered her body on April 2.
As reported by The New York Times, Sky Villa was completed in 2017, and although its structure was claimed to have earthquake-resistant infrastructure, it was still one of the most severely damaged buildings in this earthquake.
The building once housed Mandalay's largest rooftop bar and state-of-the-art gym, serving as a local landmark before its collapse.
According to Reuters, the Myanmar military government stated that the death toll has risen to over 3,100.
