(Seria, 1st) A forest fire incident occurred yesterday near the highway area in Seria.
The Brunei Fire and Rescue Department received the report at 1:37 PM that afternoon and immediately dispatched personnel to the scene to carry out firefighting operations.
It is understood that the team involved in this operation was from the Seria Fire and Rescue Department. The authorities deployed a total of 2 fire trucks and 7 firefighters to the scene to manage the blaze.
Upon arrival, firefighters immediately launched efforts to extinguish and control the fire to prevent it from spreading to nearby areas.
At present, the cause of the fire is still under further investigation.
The fire department also reminds the public to avoid open burning of trash, dried leaves, or weeds during hot or dry weather to prevent causing fires and endangering public safety.
