Popular Korean girl group “I-DLE” has recently made major changes to their tour plans. The North and Central American tour originally scheduled to kick off in August has been completely canceled, covering a total of 10 shows across several Canadian and U.S. cities, as well as Mexico. The news has sparked uproar among fans worldwide.
In response, their agency “Cube Entertainment” confirmed on the 20th that after considering overall event planning, local scheduling, and various external factors, they have decided to fully adjust and reorganize the North American tour. The company emphasized that this move is intended to better reward local fans in the future with more complete stage content and diverse formats, and that the cancellation is not due to any single factor.
Media analysis points out that the recent popularity of “Platinum Ticket Pricing” for large concerts, combined with rising scalper prices in the resale market, have clearly diminished the average fan's ability to buy tickets, and may be a significant external factor affecting tour planning. Although the North American shows have been called off, I-DLE’s other overseas dates are proceeding as planned, including stops in Australia, Singapore, Japan, and Hong Kong, which remain unaffected.
