(Miri, 8th) Zhu Ba Chinese School Principal Zheng Shiyun stated that in the past year, the school has achieved encouraging results in various aspects including education, teaching, student activities, and campus development, demonstrating the spirit of all teachers and students who bravely break through and continuously move forward.
Zheng Shiyun pointed out that with the upcoming Lunar Year of the Horse in 2026, the Spring Festival symbolizes new hopes and challenges. The "horse" represents forging ahead with determination and the "spirit of the dragon and horse". She encourages all teachers and students to stride forward confidently in the new year, strive for excellence, grow academically and morally hand in hand; at the same time, work together in unity to create a warmer and more vibrant campus environment, and to stay true to the original aspiration, continuously deepening educational reforms, and providing students with a broader stage for growth.
In her speech, she also thanked all the staff for their hard work over the past year, as well as the students for their diligence in learning, enabling the school to scale new heights constantly. She mentioned that every achievement of the school is the crystallization of collective effort by teachers and students.
In addition, Zheng Shiyun revealed that Zhu Ba Chinese School recently received “Smart Classroom” equipment awarded by the Sarawak government, obtaining four smart TVs in total, which will help to enhance teaching quality and the digital learning environment. She also quoted the saying "Read ten thousand books, travel ten thousand miles" to encourage students to develop comprehensively, and expressed hope that Sarawak’s Minister of Transport, Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin, could support and sponsor the school
in promoting study tour activities, enabling students to step out of campus and broaden their horizons, further improving themselves.
