(Seria, 4th) The Brunei Chinese community and business representatives enthusiastically welcomed His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah this morning, who graciously attended the “Sultan with the People” Tutong District celebration held at the district's public square in conjunction with His Majesty’s 79th birthday.
His Majesty was accompanied at the event by several members of the royal family. Tutong District is the third stop in the series of “Sultan with the People” celebrations.
Upon the arrival of His Majesty and the royal family, thousands of teachers and students lined the roadsides, waving small national flags in a grand and solemn welcome.
Afterward, His Majesty enjoyed a special stage performance carefully presented by the people of Tutong District. Following the performance, His Majesty graciously mingled with the performers and walked among the crowd to receive well wishes from the public, with members of the royal family accompanying him. The atmosphere on site was lively and warm, fully reflecting the joyful spirit of the nationwide celebration.
After the ceremony, His Majesty graciously attended a luncheon, gathering with representatives from all walks of life, bringing the Tutong District “Sultan with the People” celebration to a successful close.
