Miri Chua Clan Association Winter Solstice Senior Appreciation Luncheon—Inheriting the Virtue of Respecting the Elderly and Enjoying the Warmth of Reunion

(Miri, 28th) The Youth Group and Elderly Group of the Miri Chua Clan Association jointly held a Winter Solstice Senior Appreciation Reunion Luncheon at Lou Wai Lou today, gathering together with elders to welcome the Winter Solstice Festival in a warm and caring atmosphere.

Chua Tian Ci, President of the Miri Chua Clan Association Youth Group, pointed out that every elder is the root of the family and the most precious asset of the clan. It is thanks to the elders’ diligence and perseverance in supporting the family, as well as their wisdom and tolerance in teaching the younger generations how to conduct themselves in life, that today's happiness has been achieved.

He was originally scheduled to attend the event and give a speech in person, but was unable to do so due to other matters. Chua Ming Yong read the speech on his behalf. Chua Tian Ci expressed that the Winter Solstice is not only a festival of reunion, but also a moment for gratitude. Everyone sits together, savoring hot dishes and feeling the warmth of family ties, which fully embodies the spirit of family unity and mutual care.

He emphasized that respecting and caring for the elderly are traditional virtues of the Chinese nation. This luncheon is not just a gathering but also a heartfelt token of gratitude. He hoped the elders would enjoy the meal and laugh happily, and that this precious time of reunion would become a warm and beautiful memory in everyone’s heart.

In addition, Elderly Group Director Chua Zhen Cai stated that this is the association’s last event of the year, and he felt very happy and grateful to be able to attend the Elderly Reunion Winter Solstice Senior Appreciation Gathering with everyone. He also thanked Women’s Group Director Chua Mi Er for sponsoring tangyuan, which symbolizes reunion and the heartwarming meaning of the Winter Solstice.
