(Kuching, 17th) Sarawak Trust Fund Company (Amanah Saham Sarawak Berhad, abbreviated as ASSAR) has launched a brand new initiative—the ASSAR Mobile Office—aimed at expanding its service coverage and allowing communities in remote areas to also enjoy financial services.
ASSAR Chief Executive Officer Datin Norlia Madon stated that this initiative is to ensure that more Sarawakians, especially those living in remote areas, can receive better financial services and financial planning.
She said: “In addition to launching the ASSAR Mobile Office, we will also be implementing several other initiatives, including setting up temporary service counters at the Sibu Urban Transformation Centre (UTC Sibu) and the Miri Urban Transformation Centre (UTC Miri). This plan is carried out in collaboration with Servis Sarawak.”
She expressed this during the ASSAR dividend announcement ceremony held here yesterday.
Norlia added that ASSAR is also actively expanding its digital services, focusing on online platforms to encourage the public to invest digitally.
She pointed out that this move is part of ASSAR’s ongoing efforts to make financial services more accessible to Sarawakians.
“We will also continue to hold seminars and financial awareness activities in various government departments, further promoting ASSAR and enabling more Sarawakians to get to know us.”
She emphasized that the main aim of ASSAR’s initiatives is to enhance financial literacy, help the public better understand the importance of financial planning, and assist them in systematically accumulating assets and long-term wealth management.
Through these measures, ASSAR hopes to further disseminate financial information and strengthen the financial awareness of Sarawakians, especially residents in rural areas.
