(Kuching, 13th) Morshidi Fredrick has been appointed as the new Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts (MTCP), with the appointment effective from this Monday (January 12).
He succeeds the former Permanent Secretary, Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali.
Previously, over the past four years, Morshidi served as the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development (MYSED), demonstrating steady and outstanding performance in managing youth development, sports, and entrepreneurship programs.
The handing-over ceremony was witnessed by the Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts, Datuk Seri Abdul Karim.
Abdul Karim stated that the ceremony aimed to ensure a smooth leadership transition and to safeguard the continuity of MTCP's policy implementation and strategic plans, particularly in strengthening the development of the state's tourism, creative industry, and performing arts sectors.
