Incomplete Destruction of Iran's Nuclear Facilities: US Intelligence Says Nuclear Program Only Delayed by a Few Months

A classified preliminary US intelligence report indicates that the US attack on Iran has only set back Iran's nuclear program by several months, rather than destroying it as President Trump claimed.

On the 24th, US media cited sources familiar with the Defense Intelligence Agency's assessment, reporting that last weekend's attack did not completely eliminate Iran's centrifuges or enriched uranium stockpiles.

According to the report, the US attack sealed off some facility entrances but did not destroy the underground structures.

Trump Slams 'Fake News'

Trump later responded on social media: 'Fake News CNN and the failing New York Times are working together attempting to smear one of the most successful military strikes in history. Iran’s nuclear facilities have been completely destroyed!'

White House spokesperson Lewitt also pointed out that the contents were 'completely wrong, and, although classified as Top Secret, were still leaked.'

She wrote on the social media platform X: 'This so-called leaked assessment is clearly attempting to downplay President Trump and cast doubt on the heroic fighter pilots who perfectly carried out the mission to destroy Iran’s nuclear program.'

She said: 'Everyone knows what happens when 14 30,000-pound bombs are precisely dropped on target: complete destruction.'

Last weekend, the US deployed B-2 bombers to drop a total of 12 bunker-buster bombs on the Fordow and Natanz nuclear facilities, and launched Tomahawk missiles at the Isfahan nuclear facility. Trump announced that the US military had 'completely eliminated' Iran's Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear facilities.
