(Kuching, 24th) – A 67-year-old man died on the spot after his car crashed into a four-wheel drive vehicle that was waiting at a traffic light at Jalan Sekama junction.
Kuching District Police Chief Ahsmon Bajah stated that the fatal accident occurred at around 12:20 pm on June 23, involving a Mitsubishi Triton four-wheel drive and a Proton Saga sedan.
He said that preliminary investigations showed the Mitsubishi Triton was waiting at the junction due to a red light, when a Proton Saga coming from behind, suspected of losing control, crashed into its rear.

The deceased’s body was later sent to the forensics division of Sarawak General Hospital for autopsy.
Both vehicles involved in the accident have been towed to Kuching Traffic Police for further inspection.
