(Miri, 18th) To celebrate Miri's elevation to city status, the "City Yuanji Grand Performance" organized by the Miri Yuanji Studies Coordination Center was grandly held at the Artificial Lake Park this morning, attracting about 60 Yuanji students, creating a lively atmosphere.
The preparatory committee chairperson, Sister Zhang Yuhua, and the event chairperson, Sister Huang Yuzhu, gave speeches thanking everyone for attending and participating. Although the event's guest of honor, Dato' Sri Dr. Lee Kim Shin, could not attend, Miri City Councilor Bear Qianyu represented him and conveyed words of encouragement.
Other attending guests included Dato' Chen Chaoyao's representative Xie Jiahong, Miri Mayor Yu Xiaoshan's representative Yu Zhongming, and the Miri constituency Member of Parliament Zhao Junwen's representative Zou Zijian.
The event featured a rich program of performances, covering various Yuanji exercises, including the first set of dynamic exercises, Golden Lotus Opens, Spring Is Full, Spring Returns to Earth, the Sea of Wisdom and Fortune, Health and Prosperity Boxing, and Smooth Fortune.
The participating units included the Dejia Association Yuanji Fitness Class, Miri Fan Garden Yuanji Class, Juba Ten Road Yuanji Class, Lianlv Yuanji Exercise Research Class, and Miri Zhaoan Association Women's Yuanji Class.
This event not only showcased the charm of Yuanji exercises but also promoted public attention to healthy living. Especially the young guest representatives who attended this morning, further strengthening community cohesion and jointly celebrating Miri’s new milestone in city-level development.
