Vehicle Catches Fire in Muara Commercial Area—No Casualties Reported

(Bandar Seri Begawan, 11th) The Brunei Fire and Rescue Department received a call at 8:39 am recently regarding a vehicle fire at a parking lot of a commercial building in Muara.
Upon receiving the report, two fire engines and eight firefighters from the Muara Fire Station responded promptly to the scene, led by Senior Firefighter No. 548, Masiyadi. Upon arrival, they found an SUV parked at the scene partially engulfed in flames. The firefighters immediately deployed a team equipped with breathing apparatus and used two rolled hoses to extinguish the fire, drawing water from the fire engine’s water tank.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the fire is believed to have been caused by a wiring short circuit inside the dashboard. The vehicle's losses are covered by insurance.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
