Taiwanese goddess Shu Qi steps into the last year of her 'forties'. On the 16th, she posted a 49th birthday message on social media, highlighting her current life perspective with eight points of 'understanding' and making three wishes: "May all living beings be treated with kindness, may all those who love me be healthy and joyful, and the third wish is reserved for myself." In the photo, she playfully holds a knife, and her husband Stephen Fung sweetly accompanies her to cut the cake and take selfies. Both are dressed in casual home attire, and her best friend Lin Xilei, whom she refers to as 'wife', also didn't miss the celebration, commenting: "Happy birthday, husband! Thank you for understanding how to love me."
Shu Qi marks 30 years since her debut this year. Besides continuing to star in leading roles, she has also fulfilled her dream of becoming a director, with her debut film currently in post-production. She says birthdays are just an excuse to let herself indulge, but as she reaches a certain age, her demands for life have become simpler, merely wanting to cherish each moment.
