(Miri, 9th) The Deputy Minister of Tourism for Sarawak, Datuk Sebastian Ting, inspected the renovation and upgrading works of the Kampung Lereng Bukit Mosque today.
In an interview, Sebastian Ting stated that the cost of this project comes from the RM50,000 allocation under the Rural Transformation Program of the Piasau constituency.
He mentioned that the works include constructing a complete prayer room for women, replacing the mosque’s carpets, updating and cleaning air conditioners, and repairing and replacing the wiring of the multi-purpose hall and mosque.
He pointed out that this year's Rural Transformation Program will allocate RM150,000 to repair the mosque's fence and restroom facilities, with the project still being carried out by the Public Works Department.
