(Miri, 30th) JCI Lutong successfully organized the MYY Usahawan Muda 3.0 Carnival Day, providing children with a platform to explore entrepreneurship, cultivate holistic skills, and give back to the community. This allowed the younger generation to learn entrepreneurial spirit through real experiences.

MYY Usahawan Muda 3.0 aims to nurture children's financial awareness, communication skills, creativity, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities. The program took participants through a three-day learning journey, combining knowledge sharing, hands-on workshops, entrepreneurial preparation, and real sales experiences, enabling them to gradually understand the entrepreneurial process.

A total of 44 students from eight schools participated in this project. The participants learned financial knowledge, business budgeting, product design, public speaking, and entrepreneurial pitching skills. Through practical activities, they transformed their ideas into actual products and experienced the basic skills required to run a small business.

The highlight of the event was Carnival Day, where young entrepreneurs showcased and sold their products at 15 entrepreneurial booths, interacted with customers, and applied what they had learned in a real business environment. The event was officiated by Miri Mayor Adam Yii.

In his speech, Miri Mayor Adam Yii affirmed JCI Lutong's efforts in promoting entrepreneurial education for children, emphasizing that children’s growth is not only achieved through classroom learning but also through hands-on experiences that help build confidence, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities.

At the same time, he also congratulated JCI Lutong for winning the 2026 JCI Asia-Pacific Conference (Niigata, Japan) Best Local Individual Development Program Award for the MYY Usahawan Muda project, recognizing the positive impact of the program on youth development.

In addition to entrepreneurship education, MYY Usahawan Muda 3.0 also incorporates a mission of community service. The young entrepreneurs successfully raised RM7,039.00, which was donated to Miri Hospital’s Occupational Therapy Stroke Rehabilitation Unit to support stroke patient rehabilitation services. This initiative demonstrated how children cultivated a sense of responsibility from a young age and created value for society through their own efforts.

Through MYY Usahawan Muda 3.0, JCI Lutong continues to drive youth development, encouraging children to be bold in trying, build confidence, and understand that entrepreneurship is not only a business activity but also encompasses responsibility, innovation, and giving back to society.
