On the evening of the 5th, Yemen's 'Youth Movement' issued a statement saying that the organization had attacked a Saudi Arabian oil tanker in the Gulf of Aden.
This was the second time that day that the organization announced an attack on a Saudi Arabian oil tanker.
'Youth Movement' spokesperson Sareya said the group launched a ballistic missile, hitting an oil tanker named 'Daisy,' forcing the ship to return to port.
The statement pointed out that this attack was part of the 'Youth Movement's' maritime blockade operations against Saudi Arabia. The organization is closely monitoring Saudi oil tankers and will prevent them from passing through the northern and southern Red Sea.
Earlier on the 5th, Sareya issued a statement saying that the 'Youth Movement' launched several ballistic missiles that day and accurately hit a Saudi oil tanker near Yanbu, a port city in northern Red Sea, Saudi Arabia. The statement noted that since the implementation of the maritime blockade against Saudi Arabia in late July, the group has carried out attacks on a total of eight Saudi oil tankers and has intercepted and forced a total of 29 Saudi oil tankers to return in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea.
