(Bandar Seri Begawan, 27th) The Brunei Chinese Charity Association's 1st and 2nd Board Meetings were convened the afternoon before last at the Peh Xian Dato Paduka Awang Liu Jin Guo Hall, Chung Hwa School, Tutong.
The land clearing works for the crematorium construction site have officially been approved in writing by the relevant department, and the ground-breaking memorial ritual is scheduled for this Sunday, today. The meeting also issued official receipt books to the relevant board members, further facilitating the fundraising process.
Regarding the cremator equipment, board members visited two different crematoriums in Miri, collected products and data from various suppliers, and conducted further analysis and comparison.
The construction committee also presented to the board meeting points to note concerning electricity, water supply, fire safety, and other facilities.
The meeting also resolved that any individual or entity making a one-time donation of ten thousand or more will be appointed as an honorary advisor to the association in recognition of their generosity.
