Renowned as a 'singing and dancing superstar' and a 'thousand-faced lady,' Hong Kong film legend Grace Chang passed away peacefully on the afternoon of the 3rd, at the ripe age of 93. The news shocked the Chinese film industry. Brigitte Lin, who was very close to Grace Chang, posted a heartfelt tribute to this legendary actress, sharing precious memories of their last time together.

Brigitte Lin revealed that Grace Chang loved to sing Peking Opera in her lifetime, but later had fewer opportunities to participate in such activities. On one visit to Grace Chang's home, Lin found her sitting in a wheelchair, half-asleep. To cheer her up, Lin sang 'San Jia Dian' and 'Su San Released from Prison' in front of her, but Grace Chang showed little reaction. It wasn't until a Filipino helper mentioned Grace Chang's most classic song, 'Unspeakable Happiness,' that Lin and the two helpers started singing and dancing the cha-cha and mambo together. To their surprise, Grace Chang suddenly opened her eyes and a satisfied smile appeared on her face. Brigitte Lin wrote emotionally: 'This is my last memory of her.' She also expressed affectionately: 'Sister Grace! You are forever the bright moon in my heart!'

Throughout her life, Grace Chang spanned both the film and music worlds, not only leaving behind classic works such as 'The Love of Wild Rose,' but also pioneering the Mandarin musical film genre with her energetic singing and dancing style. Now, as her legendary era closes, many fans lament that another brilliant star of that golden age has been lost, and that dazzling bright moon has faded.
