(Bandar Seri Begawan, 28th) The Malaysian Association of Brunei Citizens (PWM) held its election yesterday during the 25th Annual General Meeting, where Azlan was re-elected as the new chairman. Lim Bin Li was elected as the association's vice chairman.
The member meeting was held at the Radisson Hotel, with the Malaysian High Commissioner to Brunei, Dato' Mohamad Ainie, invited as the main guest.
A major highlight of this annual general meeting was the election of the new executive committee for 2025 to 2027. After voting, the new executive committee list for 2025 to 2027 was announced, with Azlan once again elected as the new chairman.
In his speech after the election, the newly elected president Azlan expressed gratitude for the trust and support from all members.
He emphasized that the executive committee is committed to fostering closer ties among Malaysians residing in Brunei and promoting activities that benefit the Malaysian community as well as the broader society.
Additionally, the annual general meeting concluded successfully in a spirit of new enthusiasm and unity, and the Malaysian Association of Brunei Citizens looks forward to embarking on an exciting term under the leadership of the new team.
