Vehicle Loses Control and Veers Off Road, Female Driver Suffers Head Injury

(Serian, 11th) — A woman sustained a head injury after the vehicle she was driving lost control and veered off the road near the Rasau junction on the Serian–Balai Ringin route at around 6:30 this morning.
After the incident, the injured woman was found weak and trapped in the driver’s seat, and was subsequently rescued by personnel from the Serian Fire and Rescue Department (BBP).
According to a spokesperson from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Operations Center, the woman remained conscious at the time of the incident, and it is believed to have been a single-vehicle accident.
“The injured party, who sustained a head injury and was trapped in the driver’s seat, has been safely rescued and was then handed over to the Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) team for preliminary treatment, before being sent to Serian Hospital for further medical attention,” he said in a statement.
This rescue operation involved a total of 7 personnel, led by PBK I Nasihin Jaum, and was completed swiftly.
