KUCHING, June 18: An ambulance driver was injured following an accident that took place at Jalan Tabuan Jaya here yesterday.
According to a report from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), an emergency call was received at 6.16pm, and firefighters from the Tabuan Jaya station were deployed.
Upon arrival, it was noted that the accident involved an ambulance belonging to the Ministry of Health and a three-ton lorry.
The ambulance driver, who sustained leg injuries, was trapped and was assisted by passers-by before Bomba’s arrival.
Additionally, two Health Ministry personnel, as well as the patient and three of the patient’s family members, were safe.
All victims involved were brought to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) for further action.
