(Brunei, 4th) The Tsinghua University Institute of Cultural and Creative Development delegation arrived at Duduong Chinese School yesterday, aiming to gain an in-depth understanding of the development of Chinese language education locally and promote educational exchange and cooperation between China and Brunei. Attending guests included Chairman Sun Shengli, First Vice Chairman Zhang Chengji, Second Vice Chairman Wen Weiye, Secretary-General Huang Linming, Supervisor Zhong Anchai, Principal Yan Ye, Vice Principal Fang Jingjing, and teachers and students.
This visit was tightly scheduled and meaningful. At 11 a.m., the delegation arrived at the school and conducted a brief campus tour to experience the school atmosphere and teaching environment. Subsequently, the delegation held a friendly meeting with the school’s board leaders and teaching staff, where both parties engaged in in-depth exchanges on curriculum setting, examination systems, and teaching arrangements, sharing experiences and practices.
The Tsinghua University delegation stated that this visit aims to promote cultural exchange between China and Brunei and advance the diverse development of Chinese language education. In the future, both parties hope to engage in deeper cooperation in curriculum collaboration, teacher training, and student exchanges, striving together for the prosperous development of Chinese education in the Duduong region.
During the exchange session, the delegation especially expressed concern about the students' enthusiasm for learning Chinese. The team was divided into two groups, conducting random interviews with students and teachers to understand the reasons for students' love for Chinese, their feelings about learning Chinese, and the difficulties encountered during their studies. This interaction not only enhanced mutual understanding but also provided valuable firsthand information for future cooperation.
This exchange activity not only deepened the educational friendship between China and Brunei but also injected new impetus into the sustained development of Chinese language education.
