Selangor Police Chief Datuk Husen said that the police are investigating a case of a 16-year-old girl who was kidnapped, under section 307 of the Penal Code (attempted murder).
He added that the kidnappers attempted to murder the police in this case.
However, since the case belongs to the jurisdiction of the Negeri Sembilan police, he said it is not convenient to disclose more details.
Last Thursday (10th) at 5:45 pm, the 16-year-old victim was kidnapped in Seremban. The family received a ransom demand from the kidnappers for RM 2 million. After negotiation, the family paid RM 280,000 and some jewelry, and the victim was released the next day at 8:30 pm in Dataran.
On Monday (14th), four days after the incident, at 4 am, based on intelligence, the police crossed states to Bukit Tinggi Town in Klang and stopped a vehicle on Jalan Batu Unjur, shooting dead the 21-year-old Indian kidnapper in an exchange of fire.
Police found a gun and a machete in the car. Initial investigations revealed that the car was the same one used to release the victim.
At the same time, the police have detained 3 men and 3 women (aged 20 to 31) in Negeri Sembilan to assist in the investigation.
