On March 4, 2025, at the request of Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company, the Ministry of Commerce launched an investigation into possible circumvention of anti-dumping measures on U.S.-origin non-dispersion-shifted single-mode optical fiber by related cut-off wavelength-shifted single-mode optical fiber imported from the U.S. The ruling of the investigation was announced on the 2nd, confirming the decision to impose anti-dumping duties.
According to the ruling, Corning will be subject to an anti-dumping duty rate of 37.9%, OFS Fitel 33.3%, and Draka Communications as high as 78.2%. Other U.S. exporters are also subject to the maximum rate of 78.2%.
