Sarawak Premier Embarks on Four-Day Official Visit to Singapore to Explore Trade and Investment Opportunities

(Kuching, 15th) — Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg arrived in Singapore yesterday for a four-day official working visit, with the itinerary running through October 17.
Abang Johari and the Sarawak government delegation arrived in Singapore at around 5pm, where they were received by Sarawak State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki and State Attorney General Datuk Seri Shafiee Ali.
During his visit to Singapore, Abang Johari will attend several important events, including the "Sarawak Mega Fair 2025" held at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre.
The exhibition, themed "Expanding Sarawak's Trade and Investment," is a major trade and investment event combining conferences and exhibitions.
At the event, Abang Johari will deliver a keynote speech on trade and investment opportunities, and the Ministry of International Trade, Industry & Investment (MINTRED) will launch the "Sarawak Export Programme."
Several collaboration signing ceremonies will also take place, including the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) and Memorandums of Agreement (MoA) between relevant Sarawak agencies and strategic industry partners, as well as the formal opening of the trade and investment exhibition booths.
In addition, Abang Johari will hold an engagement session with international fund managers in conjunction with the Sarawak Mega Fair held in Singapore.
According to the itinerary, he is scheduled for an official meeting with Singapore Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong on October 17, before departing for Sarawak.
This official visit is expected to further strengthen the close relationship between Sarawak and Singapore in the fields of trade, investment, and high-impact social and educational cooperation.
