(Bandar Seri Begawan, 11th) Brunei’s Information Department held a briefing yesterday morning in the department’s auditorium to explain interview arrangements and key points for the upcoming Sultan’s birthday celebrations to accredited media and photography personnel.
This year, over 170 media professionals from both local and international outlets have successfully applied for press permits. These include photojournalists, representatives from television and print media, all gathering in Bandar Seri Begawan to provide comprehensive coverage of the 79th Sultan’s birthday celebrations, including major events such as the inspection ceremony and palace investiture.
The briefing was jointly hosted by Information Department officials Alit Temiz, Pengiran Asu, and Senior Police Inspector Handan from the Traffic Investigation and Control Unit of the Royal Brunei Police Force.
During the session, the Information Department explained in detail the celebration procedures, division of media zones, media access protocols, dress code requirements, and safety cooperation matters to ensure a smooth and orderly coverage on the day of the celebration.
After the briefing, media representatives received their press passes on site and attended a security and traffic arrangement explanation jointly provided by the police and relevant agencies.
