(Miri, 31st) The Malaysian Sarawak Immigration Department issued a notice today, announcing that during the period from June 1 to 4, 2025, the Malaysian-Brunei border immigration checkpoints located in the northern region of Sarawak will extend their opening hours to midnight (12 AM) each night, to alleviate traffic congestion at the border entry points.
The extended operating hours will involve the following border entry and exit checkpoints: ICQS Mengkalap, ICQS Pandaruan, ICQS Tedungan, ICQS Sungai Tujoh.
The authorities indicated that this measure aims to reduce congestion caused by peak human traffic and facilitate travel between Malaysia and Brunei for the people of both countries during the holiday period.
