For Safety, Smart Public Buses Suspend Operations

(Miri, 29th) Due to worsening flood conditions, to ensure the safety of passengers and drivers, Miri Smart Public Buses have completely suspended operations on 8 main routes starting from noon today until further notice.

Kiew Toh Hee said the bus will also be servicing several areas which it passes through, including residential area, the manager of Miri Bus Transportation Company and Miri City Bus Company, mentioned upon inquiry that there is currently water accumulation at the Miri Elektrok Building short-distance bus terminal, affecting the operation of public transport.

As there is water accumulation in several areas that the buses travel through, the company decided to suspend services and hopes the public will understand. The Miri Smart Public Buses route through the areas of Buke Road, which are experiencing flooding conditions.
