Churches United in Faith — Lighting Up Kuching for the Grand Christmas Parade

(Kuching, 7th) Last night, thousands of participants and spectators packed the streets as the 2025 Kuching City Christmas Grand Parade was held under the leadership of the Sarawak Chinese Annual Conference of the Methodist Church (Methodist Church SCAC), transforming the city center into a brilliant stage filled with faith and festive cheer.
This event was co-organized by the Association of Churches in Sarawak (ACS), attracting more than 7,000 participants from 72 churches.
The parade troupe was led by several brightly lit floats themed on the Nativity of Jesus and other Biblical stories, radiating color and light, accompanied along the route by choirs, youth fellowships, and groups from various denominations, including:

the Catholic Church, Anglican Church, Methodist Church (Sarawak Chinese Annual Conference and Sarawak Iban Annual Conference), Borneo Evangelical Mission (SIB), Seventh-day Adventist Church, The Salvation Army, Sarawak Baptist Church, Blessed Church Sarawak, and the Sarawak Evangelical Christian Association (SECA), among others.
The parade covered a route of about 4 kilometers, passing through Jalan Padungan, Kuching Waterfront, Lebuh Temple, Lebuh Wayang, Jalan Tabuan, and Jalan Ban Hock, before returning to Jubilee Ground.
The route was packed with excited crowds, who frequently responded with enthusiastic applause, pausing to take photos of the dazzling floats and captivating performances. The atmosphere was filled with a strong festive spirit.
