Vanness Wu became close friends with Barbie Hsu (Xu Xiyuan) while filming 'Meteor Garden.' However, both parties denied the rumors, insisting there was no romantic connection. Recently, Vanness Wu talked about Barbie Hsu on a show, describing her as the most angelic person he’s ever met. He recalled how caring she was towards him during filming, and revealed that while Barbie often appears tough, in reality, she doesn’t even dare to flip the bird.
On a recent episode of 'AmazingTalker Show,' Vanness Wu was asked about Barbie Hsu. He said that his very first important job in the entertainment industry was 'Meteor Garden.' When asked, “Who treated you the best on set?” Vanness looked a bit serious and answered, “Barbie Hsu,” surprising everyone. He explained that Barbie was always the most considerate and thoughtful person on set, quietly looking after him and checking in on how he was doing.
Recalling downtime on set, Vanness said what stood out most were the times they would laugh endlessly over silly things. He joked that when you’re young, you always want to do rebellious things—whenever something bothered him, he’d respond by flipping the bird. But Barbie Hsu would say, “I can’t do it,” and would jokingly raise her index finger instead, saying that’s all she could manage.
